Requirements to become a User
- To subscribe into MIBICI the user must show an identification to prove being older than 18 years age, or 16 years older joint with his/her legal age guardian or parent
- To subscribe a Credit Card will be required (except American Express) or Debit (salary cards are also valid) by the name of the registered user or the person appointed as guardian or parent. (Consult terms and conditions of internet purchases with your bank).
- With each credit or debit card you may register up to two (2) subscriptions
- The subscribed user guarantees that the information provided is true
- Fulfilling the requirements and subscribing grants the possibility to receive one (1) one KEY which identifies you as user subscribe to the system
- The use of the bicycle is non-transferrable, it means, only the registered user may do it
Time of service
MIBICI system operates to the public from Monday to Sunday 365 days of the year from 06:00 to 00:00 hours. Out this hours is not possible to take bicycles from any station but return of bicycles is allowed. It means, the system is available to receive bikes after 00:00 hours and only will charge extra costs in case of exceeding 30 minute trips
Times of Use
- You may do UNLIMITED number of trips within the period of validity of your ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION or TEMPORARY PASS
- To avoid extra charges, remember that MIBICI trips are for a maximum time of 30 minutes, within you must return MIBICI to a bike dock at a station.
- After 5 minutes you may release other bicycle for a new trip.
- If you do not find available docks at the station you must chose the option “SOLICITAR TIEMPO ADICIONAL” (request additional time) at the screen of the kiosk to get 10 extra minutes and return the bicycle in other station without extra charges
- Annual or temporary users may use MIBICi for 45 minutes periods only on Sundays
- Trip times are not accruable, it means, at the time you return MIBICI at a bike dock station your time restart to 0 (cero) minutes
Return of MIBICI
- To return MIBICI the user must go to the closest station and lock the bicycle at an available dock
- At the time you lock the bicycle a sound signal will be emitted and the indicator light will turn yellow and then green which indicates that the bicycle has been correctly locked to the dock
- If in contrary case the bicycle is not properly locked the docking indicator light will turn on red and a longer sound signal will be emitted, therefore the user must repeat the process until the green light turns on and the bicycle become properly locked to the dock.
- If after several attempts the light indicator does not change to green, the user must return the bicycle to other dock available
- If there are no bicycle docks available at certain station, you must chose the option “SOLICITAR TIEMPO ADICIONAL” (request additional time) at the screen of the kiosk to get 10 extra minutes and return the bicycle in other station without extra charges
- The user must check the proper lock of the bicycle to avoid any additional charge.
Types of Subscription
- To become MIBICI annual user, the applicant must access to the site mibici.net and fill the form published at the REGISTRATION section
- The user will obtain an ID number, and must sign an agreement/promissory note and make the payment for the subscription. Once the payment is done he will receive a Welcome Kit where the KEY will be found ready to be activated by him.
- The registration process also may be completed personally appearing to the Attention Center, where the applicant must provide the required information at the form of the site. If you wish, personal of MIBICI may assist you during the process
- The user will create an account with an ID, chose a type of guarantee for the cost of the bicycle, the payment form for the charges caused by using the system and if exchange a Gift Certificate if applicable
- In both cases the user will sign an agreement /promissory note for the amount of $5,000.00 (five thousand pesos 00/100 MXN) as guarantee of the possible damages that may suffer the bicycle and must provide the information of his Credit or Debit Card for charges for use
- To use MIBICI first time without being subscribed to the system, the user must look for a station and go to the kiosk, select at the main screen the option “RENTAR” (rent), slide his credit card and wait for the bank validation
- The user must approve even the subscription fees and charges for use, and the withholding of the balance on his card for the amount of $1,500.00 (one thousand five hundred pesos 00/100 MXN) for each bicycle, provide his telephone number, postal code and will sign a digital agreement to obtain a 5 digits rent code. The amount will be released and returned to your balance within a maximum time of 7 working days after the expiration of the term of rent.
- Such rent code will individual and non-transferrable and has a validity of 5 minutes once the temporary pass subscription process is finished.
- Likewise, the use of the bicycle is non-transferrable
- In case you have a gift certificate is may be exchanged directly once the credit card and KEY is verified.
- The user subscribed for an annuity will receive a Welcome Package or Kit that contains the KEY, that will allow him to unlock any bicycle at a dock located at any station and enables him to do trips.
- Such Welcome Package or Kit you may choose to receive it by means of a Bicimessenger in your address provided for it, or get it at MIBII Customer Center. This step must be specified at the time you fill the REGISTRATION form.
- If you decide to receive at your address, a bicimessenger will arrive with the Package or Kit, the KEY ready to be activated by him and the agreement/promissory note to collect the user(s) signature. It is needed to show a personal identification.
- If you decide to pick up the Package or Kit straight at the Customer´s Center, the user must appear to sign the agreement/promissory note and get the KEY ready to be activated by him. It is needed to show an official identification (IFE/INE or passport) and the card which was used to make the payment.
- Having a KEY you have the option to rent one (1) bicycle. In case you need a second bicycle you must request a new subscription at MIBICI Customer´s Center or through the website mibici.net
- The KEY received by the user is persona and nontransferable and will be delivered once the registration process is completed and the payment authorized.
- Replace of a lost or damaged KEY will cause a $79 (seventy nine pesos 00/100 MXN) charge, that will be added to your registered card given during the registration process.
Credit Limit
- The user may cause charges by exceeding the time of use for a maximum of $680 MXN. This maximum will be called credit limit
- In case that the user reaches the ´limit credit´granted by MIBICI system, the account will suspended automatically.

Once an account is suspended MIBICI will try to collect the pending balance to be paid. Such collection will be done straight the frm credit or debit card associated to the annual subscription or temporary pass of the user.
- In case that the collection of the payment is not possible the account of the user will remain suspended until the debt become cleared.

Cancellations
To cancel your annual service MIBICI the user must follow this steps:
- Check out your account does not present debts
- Access to the users zone with your email and password given at the time of the subscription
- Go to the tap Subscription and unmark the square Auto renewal.
- Afterward, send an email to usuarios@mibici.net requesting the definitive unsubscribe of the service.
- Complete the cancellation form that will be send it to your email and wait for a cancellation confirmation message within a maximum period of 24 hours
